Is md-to-pdf-word free?
Yes, free and without an account. Fair-use limits: 30 conversions per hour and 2 at the same time per visitor.
What happens to my files?
They are stored only for the conversion and deleted automatically after 2 hours. Click “Delete from server” to remove them at once. They are never shared or used for training.
Which inputs are supported?
.md and .markdown, .docx (Word), .tex (LaTeX), a folder, or a .zip containing them with their images and .bib files. You can also paste Markdown, or paste a link to a Markdown file in a public GitHub repository — its pictures are fetched too.
Can the result follow my company's Word template?
Yes. Under Template, choose the template .docx. The PDF and the Word file then use its paper size, margins, body font and line spacing, heading and caption styles, header with logo, footer and page-number format. Your content stays as written.
Which outputs do I get?
A PDF with embedded fonts and an editable Word .docx — either or both. Word and LaTeX inputs also return the content as Markdown.
How large can a document be?
20 MB per file, 60 MB per upload, up to 300 files. A conversion may take up to 5 minutes.
Why do images show as “missing”?
The images were not uploaded with the document, or their path differs. Drop the whole folder so relative paths like images/chart.png still match.
Does the Word file work in WPS and on Mac?
Yes. Under More options pick Windows / WPS or Mac font names to match your readers.
Why does Word show a different number of pages?
Word paginates on each computer with its own fonts. The PDF is the fixed version; the Word file is for editing.
Is Chinese text handled properly?
Yes — Chinese punctuation, line breaking, mixed Chinese and Latin text, Chinese font sizes (四号, 小四 …) and the official document standard GB/T 9704.
Can my AI assistant use it?
Yes. Add the MCP address /mcp to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client; no token is needed.
How do I report a problem or suggest something?
Use Feedback at the top of any page, open an issue on GitHub, or write an email. Problem reports include the error code automatically.
